A proud Hastings native and graduate of HHS Class of 1982, Bruce comes from a family deeply rooted in Hastings—both of his parents were teachers in the Hastings and BISD school systems. Bruce began working at age 16 at the Cone Zone and Cotant’s Farm Market, where he eventually married the farmer’s daughter, Ann Cotant, in 1985. Together, they've raised triplets and are now proud grandparents to four (with more on the way!).

He recently retired after a 39-year career in the public safety supply and service industry, where he learned that success is built on one thing above all: taking care of people. That same philosophy drives his work in real estate.

With a passion for home improvement that started with his dad, Bruce has flipped, remodeled, and built homes, and continues to take on additional projects. Bruce's practical knowledge of construction and property value helps him guide buyers and sellers with confidence and insight.

Bruce spent 29 years in Kalamazoo, where his children attended Kalamazoo schools and he stayed active in the community. He served as President of Parchment Little League for eight years and later as District Administrator for Michigan District 2 with Little League International.

In 2022, his family returned to their roots and built a home on the family farm in Hastings. Since then, Bruce has continued his commitment to community service—appointed to the BIRCH Fire Board in January 2024 and elected as a Trustee to the Hastings Charter Township Board in November 2024.

When Bruce is not helping clients, he enjoy the outdoors, landscaping, shooting sports, staying active, and hopes to spend more time golfing.
